Garnet Sandblasting
Abrasive Supplier

OneGarnet™ delivers ISO-certified garnet blasting media direct from the world's largest garnet mine — hard almandine crystal, Sa3 cleanliness, Class 1 dust, zero heavy metals.

Why Choose Garnet
for Sandblasting?

Garnet outperforms copper slag, steel grit, and silica sand across every industrial surface preparation metric. OneGarnet™ almandine garnet achieves Sa3 bare-metal cleanliness faster and with less abrasive per square metre than competing media.

Sa3 Bare-Metal Cleanliness

Sharp angular crystal fracture removes mill scale, rust, and old coatings to Sa3 standard. Up to 15% faster blast rate compared to conventional abrasives.

Class 1 Dust — Lowest Category

Dust content below 0.1%. No free silica above 0.5%. Protects workers and reduces containment costs on open-air and confined-space projects.

No Heavy Metals or Radiation

Non-radioactive almandine garnet with no detectable heavy metals. Compliant with offshore, marine, and structural coating specifications worldwide.

Two Garnet Blasting
Grades for Every Budget

OneGarnet™ premium almandine garnet and JadeCut® value-grade blasting media — both from the Donghai mine, both ISO certified, engineered for different cost-performance priorities.

OneGarnet™ Blasting Abrasive

Premium Grade · Sa3

Pure almandine garnet from Donghai. Hardest natural abrasive in the garnet family (Mohs 7.5–8.0). Maximum surface profile, fastest blast rate, suitable for NORSOK and DNVGL offshore standards.

Garnet Sandblasting
Common Questions

What mesh size garnet is best for sandblasting?

For most industrial sandblasting applications, 16/30 mesh (coarse, fast cutting) or 30/60 mesh (general purpose) are most common. Finer grades (80 mesh) are used where a smoother surface profile is required for thin-film coatings. Contact our team for a recommendation based on your coating system and substrate.

How does garnet compare to copper slag for sandblasting?

Garnet produces significantly less dust than copper slag, carries no heavy metals, and generates a more consistent surface profile. Copper slag is a waste by-product with variable quality and higher heavy metal contamination risk. Garnet is required for offshore, marine, and environmentally regulated blasting projects.

Is OneGarnet™ approved for offshore and pipeline projects?

Yes. OneGarnet™ garnet blasting abrasive is compliant with NORSOK M-501, DNVGL-RP-F106, ISO 11126-7, and SSPC surface preparation standards — the primary specifications used in offshore, pipeline, and marine coating projects globally.

Can I order garnet sandblasting abrasive in bulk for Germany or Europe?

Yes. OneGarnet™ supplies bulk garnet blasting media to Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, and across Europe. Available in 25 kg bags or 1,000 kg big bags. Contact us for FOB and CIF pricing — typical delivery lead time is 3–6 weeks.

What is the difference between OneGarnet™ and JadeCut® blasting abrasive?

OneGarnet™ is pure almandine garnet — the harder premium grade for Sa3 cleanliness, ideal for demanding offshore and structural specifications. JadeCut® is an omphacite-almandine blend achieving Sa2½–Sa3 at 30–50% lower cost, suited for high-volume structural blasting.
